2012

Aloha kakou! It's been a year of growth for 'Ohana Arts Studio. Lots of changes, lots of improvements. I would like to thank all of my customers and clients. We couldn't have done it without you! Mahalo nui! Thanks a lot!

I will be blogging more often this year. Stay tuned. :)

Okay, okay, it's been a while....

but I am back! :)

'Ohana Arts Studio has finally moved into a bigger suite. Yay! More room! We grew from a homebased business in 1993 to a retail space that is around 1100 square feet. Lots of room now.

We are currently taking registrations for studio classes for July and August. Fall is just around the corner and I will start working on the fall and winter schedule soon. Busy, busy.

Our Polynesian dance classes are filling up nicely. I used to teach thru parks and rec, but now I have a dedicated space where I can offer classes any day of the week and not just one day out of the whole week. Huia!

We are taking bookings for luau and hula parties. Lots of events coming up. So happy!

Okay, time to work on a costume for one of my private clients.

A hui hou. Until we meet again.

Summer is here!

It's not only time to think about summer vacation, but also graduations and weddings! This is an awesome time to think about giving your new graduate or happy couple a gift certificate for some sewing classes and a sewing machine.

What better way than to gift them some sewing classes at 'Ohana Arts Studio! Sewing is a gift that keeps on giving. Think about what they can sew after enrolling in our classes.

Please check out my website at www.ohanaartsstudio.com for more information.

Mahalo nui loa! Thank you very much!

I am in Kaimuki now

We managed to make it to Maui and then O'ahu. Beautiful people. Beautiful islands. Beautiful everything! Hawaii is a definitely a special place.

I will be going to the Big Island this Saturday. Until then I will be enjoying family time, food, friends, and the beaches on O'ahu.

My wish is for everyone to experience the beauty of the islands and its people. Or 'Ohana Arts Studio/Kinderhula/ Polynesian Dance Studio can bring the islands to you.

Malama pono,
Lisa

Made it to Seattle

Finally made it to Seattle. Delayed flight out of Norfolk, bad weather over Chicago which caused overall delays, and then we barely made it to our connecting flight in Chicago. We ran as fast as we could to the gate. Fortunately, I do sprinting workouts. Whew, that helped. lol

I am working on new Hawaiian quilting designs. Stay tuned.

Taking our morning flight to the islands. I know as soon as I get off the plane I will want to kiss the ground. lol

More later.

Exciting news

I leave for my Hawaii trip tomorrow. I am escorting my oldest daughter to the University of Hawaii at Manoa and also visiting family and friends. I will be sure to bring back more aloha spirit to Virginia.

Other exciting news: I am expanding and will hopefully be moving to a larger space in Newport News in October. Stay tuned for details about my Grand Opening and Specials.

Be sure to look on my website for details on my upcoming classes. My classes fill up quickly. See, that's why I have to expand! :]
